Welcome to the Farmer’s Supply, an elegant boutique self-service hotel in the heart of downtown Floyd, designed to connect you to the Town of Floyd’s past with the convenience and amenities of the present.
The cornerstone of Mainstreet, Farmer’s Supply is nested above Phoenix Hardwoods and Lichen or Knot. The self-service hotel offers five thoughtfully designed apartments with modern sensibilities and a deep appreciation for the character and charm of this Virginia Historic Landmark.
Built in 1897 as a mercantile store and butcher’s shop for Thomas B. Huff and Horatio Howard, the Farmers Supply Store relocated to the building in 1920, supplying general hardware and merchandise to the area. In this capacity the Lawson Family managed the building and store for nearly a century.
As more visitors, entrepreneurs, and music lovers began to discover Floyd, the Lawsons too transitioned—transforming this storied and iconic building into a new home for two creative, dynamic local businesses and as a respite, for visitors discovering Floyd for the first time and for those familiar travelers who have, as we have, fallen in love with Floyd.
Whether you stay for a day or a week, we hope you find your time with us comfortable and convenient. To ensure your privacy and flexibility, we have designed the Farmers Supply Hotel as entirely self-service. Upon booking, you will get a unique code that gives you access to your booked room and general lodging commons. Though we have a self-service design, our staff is never far away, and if we can be of any service to you during your stay or booking, we hope you will not hesitate to reach out.
Welcome to Floyd, Welcome to the Farmer’s Supply.
